What does BIRCWH Mean?

The acronym 'BIRCWH' (pronounced "birch") stands for Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health. Northwestern University is proud to be a recipient of the BIRCWH Scholars Program. The aim of the BIRCWH award to provide bridging support to physician-scientists as they move between completion of clinical or post-doctoral training and an independent research career. Research addressed by BIRCWH research spans the spectrum of women’s health topics, and the program is open to all types of clinicians and non-clinicians.
